B.3. Start up, operation and optimization of pilot plant at IRTA facilities
Installation, start up, optimization and operation of the pilot plant for livestock drinking water in the IRTA facilities (Caldes de Montbui, Barcelona). Operation for 1.5 years (PROTECMED, NENUPHAR, EURECAT, IRTA and CSIC).
B.4. Start up, operation and optimization of pilot plant in a small village in Castellon (FACSA facilities)
Installation, start up, optimization and operation of the pilot plant for potable water production from groundwater in a small village of Castellon managed by FACSA. The pilot plant will be transported from Barcelona (B3) to Nules (Castellon). Operation during 1.5 years (FACSA, PROTECMED, NENUPHAR, EURECAT and CSIC).

Installation, start up, optimization and operation of the pilot plant for groundwater treatment in France. Operation for 3 years (NENUPHAR, PROTECMED, EURECAT, CSIC and IRTA).

Assessment of microalgae sludge used for compost and animal food production (IRTA).
B.7. Assessment of the effectiveness of the pilot plant (IRTA, all)
Groundwater and treated water will be monitored periodically: pesticides, antibiotics, antibiotic resistance gens (ARGs), nitrates and standard chemical parameters for potable and livestock drinking water use (CSIC, IRTA, EURECAT), microbial populations (microalgae, bacteria and fungi) (IRTA). Also, the microalgae sludge valorisation and cork performance will be monitored.
B.8. Transferability and replicability plan and business plan (All partners)
An economical validation including the exploitation and the business plan and the assessment of the transferability and replicability (NENUPHAR and FACSA).
